It seeks to advance the exchange and development of powder science and technology, which plays a vital role in manufacturing everyday consumer goods as well as processing core materials for numerous high-tech sectors. Following its founding, the Hosokawa Powder Technology Foundation (Japan) took over the organization and has hosted the symposium every year.
